Ferrari fans, have you heard the recent applause? It’s not an illusion, because Ferrari has officially announced – Danish driver Nicklas Nielsen has signed a new multi-year contract! This 28-year-old star will not only continue to be at the core of the Red Bull team in the WEC endurance series but aims to lead the team to more championships with his speed and determination!
Remember this year’s Le Mans 24 Hour race? Nicklas was the key figure in helping Ferrari secure its 11th overall championship! Since winning the championship in the 2018 Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe, he has accumulated 12 victories and stood on the podium 23 times this year, showcasing his impressive record. Among his titles are several endurance championships, including FIA WEC, European Le Mans Series, and GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, and his performance is truly admirable.
Nielsen stated, “Continuing as an official Ferrari driver is not just an honor, but a responsibility. Over the years, I have achieved many unforgettable victories, especially the one at Le Mans. Thank you, Ferrari; I aim to take it further and bring more trophies and glory to the team!”
Ferrari’s endurance division head Antonello Coletta is also optimistic: “Nicklas has grown tremendously and has racked up championships. After his entry into the top-tier WEC in 2023, he immediately delivered a victory at Le Mans, proving his maturity, stability, and leadership. We are proud to continue this journey with him!”
Of course, besides the endurance racing side, Ferrari is also buzzing with excitement on the track. Earlier this September, the sixth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship kicked off at the COTA circuit in Texas, with Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen teaming up to drive the #50 499P race car, aiming to maximize points and secure the lead in the world championship. The #51 and #83 combinations are also all out, determined to create more achievements on American soil.
Ferrari’s momentum doesn’t stop there, as the new model 849 Testarossa Spider just debuted in Milan, and Charles Leclerc and the team are fiercely competing on the F1 stage. This red stallion just never stops!
Whether it’s classic endurance racing or new sports cars, Ferrari continues to bring speed, innovation, and passion to its fans. If you’re a Ferrari fan, now is the time to celebrate, as Nicklas Nielsen has re-signed, and the next championship glory is just around the corner waiting for all the red army to enjoy!
